...SNOW THEN COLDER WEATHER EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND...
.A low pressure system will track into northern Lower Michigan by
late this afternoon. Periods of light to moderate snow, along
with a brief period of freezing drizzle, is expected before
tapering off during the late morning and afternoon. Colder air
will surge into the area on gusty west winds in the wake of the
storm. The gusty winds could produce some blowing and drifting
snow, especially this afternoon and evening.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches,
highest across far northeast Wisconsin and lowest across central
Wisconsin. Locally higher amounts possible near the Michigan
border. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and
northeast Wisconsin.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult at times. Blowing snow could
result in significantly reduce visibility, especially in open
areas across central and east central Wisconsin. Drifting snow
will especially impact north-south roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A brief period of freezing drizzle is
possible early this morning, mainly across central and east
central Wisconsin.
